  NACEDA and NDC Join Forces
to Provide Capacity Building Training

NACEDA and the National Development Council (NDC) are joining forces in a Capacity Building Project, to provide local training opportunities for community economic development (CED) associations. Special training opportunities have already occurred through collaboration with NACEDA members: the Connecticut Housing Coalition, the Massachusetts Association of CDCs and the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey. NACEDA is extremely pleased to be working with NDC on these important training opportunities and looks forward to growing and expanding the program.

NDC, one of the oldest national nonprofit CED organizations, works to increase the flow of capital for investment, jobs and community development to under served urban and rural areas across the country.

“NDC places a very high value on the work and mission of NACEDA and its members. Like them, NDC rolls up our sleeves in communities across the country to get projects done and affect real change in neighborhoods that need it most,” said Jen Eismeier, NDC’s Director of Training Operations & Marketing. “With such a close connection to NACEDA members and their mission-driven work, we are delighted to have the opportunity to impart our knowledge of community development finance in the classroom to people who can put it to immediate use. By equipping people with the tools of community development finance, we can all work together to make a difference.”
